Technical Expertise

bulletAbnormal equipment operation. Interpret results. Determine significance of tests and observations including oil tests, high temperature, unusual noises and physical inspections. Determine the cause of abnormal operation and necessary remedial action.
bulletCause of equipment failure. Static electrification, winding looseness, causes of gassing, various load tap changer electrical and mechanical problems, and other design defects. Inspect failed equipment and determine root cause of failure.
bulletSpecification of substation equipment. IEEE transformer standards. Provide purchase and repair specifications for power transformers.
bulletTransformer testing and inspections. Transformer inspections tests at vendor.
